On March 10, CeCe Haydock, landscape architect and devotee of literature and historic gardens, gave a fascinating lecture at 60 South Fullerton on the fabulous gardens of the North Shore of Long Island, a favorite retreat of the rich and famous, where they created elaborate gardens to accompany their grand houses.
She showed us the gardens as they were originally built, and taught us about their history, landscape design, and present conditions.
